Data Quality Assurance Policy
LoanCheckr is committed to delivering high-quality, actionable insights to mortgage brokers by leveraging data made available through the Consumer Data Right (CDR) framework. This policy outlines the scope and limitations of data accuracy, availability, and reliance on third-party data holders and service providers.
1. Purpose of this Policy
The purpose of this Data Quality Assurance Policy is to:
-
Clarify the dependencies involved in delivering data-driven services;
-
Explain the measures we take to ensure data integrity; and
-
Define the limitations of our responsibility regarding data accuracy and system availability.
2. Source of Data
LoanCheckr obtains financial data through secure APIs provided by Accredited Data Recipients (ADRs) under the CDR framework, such as Basiq, as well as directly from authorised Australian financial institutions (data holders). This includes, but is not limited to:
-
Loan account details;
-
Transaction history;
-
Interest rates;
-
Repayment schedules and balances.
3. Third-Party Dependency Disclaimer
LoanCheckr is dependent on third-party data holders (e.g., banks, lenders) and the availability of ADR APIs for the retrieval of customer data.
We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data retrieved from these sources. While we take commercially reasonable steps to validate and process data once received, we do not control or guarantee:
-
The integrity of data held by third parties;
-
The consistency of data formats;
-
The uptime or performance of ADR platforms or APIs.
4. Notification Accuracy
All notifications, alerts, and insights generated by LoanCheckr (e.g., rate changes, fixed rate expiry, interest-only period ending) are only as accurate as the underlying data received from external sources.
LoanCheckr cannot be held liable for missed notifications, misreporting, or delays in information where such issues arise from:
-
Data latency from the source institution;
-
API downtime or throttling;
-
Errors or omissions in the provided data.
5. Uptime and System Availability
Our platform depends on real-time and periodic data synchronisation with external APIs. Downtime, maintenance windows, or connectivity issues with our ADR partner (e.g., Basiq) or upstream data holders may affect the freshness or availability of data within the LoanCheckr platform.
6. Your Responsibility
Mortgage brokers using LoanCheckr are responsible for:
-
Confirming the accuracy of any insight before making client-facing decisions;
-
Ensuring clients understand that data insights are provided via third-party sources;
-
Contacting support if there are material discrepancies or suspected inaccuracies.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LoanCheckr disclaims all liability for losses or damages (direct or consequential) arising from:
-
Reliance on data sourced from third-party APIs;
-
Errors in notifications due to incomplete or inaccurate upstream data;
-
Delays or omissions resulting from API or data provider outages.
8. Continuous Improvement
We actively monitor data reliability issues and engage with ADR partners and data holders to resolve any anomalies promptly. We are committed to improving system transparency and data reconciliation wherever possible.
